Thanks to retiring InGeNA Board Director Robert McBride

We wish to express our sincere thanks to Rob McBride for his outstanding contribution to InGeNA.

Rob has served as a Member Elected Board Director since our founding, bringing steady leadership and deep insight from his role at Illumina. His commitment helped shape InGeNA’s governance and raised our profile across the industry. He is a champion of board diversification and ensuring that we are partnering widely.

While he steps down from the Board, we’re fortunate Rob will continue contributing through our Policy Working Group and broader strategic efforts. His ongoing involvement means a great deal to us.

I’d like to thank InGeNA for allowing me to be part of the Board. It has been an honour to support the growth of a genomics industry body that has gained strength and credibility. InGeNA is now well positioned and respected as a partner for genomics labs, patients, and government, with a clear role in bringing a united industry voice to advance genomics in healthcare. I am proud to have helped strengthen board diversification to better reflect our members and their needs. I look forward to continuing to contribute as an active member and supporting Australia’s shift from “sick care” to healthcare.
