InGeNA at AusBiotech 2025

Oct 31, 2025

What a week! We joined industry leaders at the AusBiotech International Conference 2025 for an energising few days of insight, connection, and momentum for precision medicine.

Across formal sessions and informal conversations, there was a clear and growing interest in how precision medicine is reshaping clinical research, moving into mainstream care, and driving new demands for data and technology infrastructure.
Sessions on precision medicines, cell and gene therapies were a standout. They provided valuable insights as we gear up to co-host the Cell and Gene Summit with ARCS Australia in February 2026. The Millis Oration including the founder journey by Telix Pharmaceuticals Limited founder got many nods.

It was a privilege to connect with Travis Monke, President of Danaher Corporation for SEA and ANZ, about their transformative genetherapy work for Baby KJ-a reminder of the real-world impact we all work toward.

We were proud to see Dr Natalie Thorne, CHIA, GAICD from Genomical take the stage to share the realities of startup life. Genomical remains the only successful spinout from Australia’s government-funded genomics research programs-a milestone worth celebrating.

It was great reconnecting with Matilda Haas from Genomics Australia and Prof. Chris Molloy from the Medicines Discovery Catapult as we continue building strong collaborations with government and global partners to accelerate the development and adoption of genomics in Australia.

Fantastic to connect with our members, welcome new ones, and spend time with friends of InGeNA in the broader community. We had more than 55 one on one conversations across the ecosystem- each curious about what we do and how we partner to drive impact. Thanks to everyone who joined us for our networking drinks – we received such great feedback about the importance of these connections.

InGeNA has doubled in size since last year’s conference, and the depth of engagement we’re seeing-across industry, government, research, and advocacy is growing just as fast. We’re excited about what lies ahead as we continue to support investment, international collaboration, and innovation in precision medicine.

Thanks to KE Select – Scientific & Medical Recruitment Specialists and PSC Biotech – Australia biotech for the extra supports across the conference.

Thank you to AusBiotech for hosting another excellent event. We’re already looking forward to the Gold Coast in 2026.
